The five-star Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center (Beijing Yansha Zhongxin Kaibinsiji Fandian) is located in Chaoyang, east of central Beijing near the Jianguomen Embassy Area and Santilun's stretch of bars and restaurants. It's also right next door to the Lufthansa Center Youyi Shopping Center, where you'll find a little bit of everything, from Western groceries to golf clubs, though not generally at discount prices.
Though there's little in the way of historical interest in the immediate area, the hotel itself generally lives up to its five-star rating and is a favorite among frequent business travelers. Its proximity to the Third Ring Road (Dongsanhuan Bei Lu) makes taxi and car travel convenient. The hotel's seven restaurants offer a range of international cuisines, including Chinese and Japanese.
