The Jianghan Hotel (Jianghan Binguan) is an outstanding example of classic continental Art Deco architecture. Built by the French in 1914 and originally known as the "Denim Hotel, " the Jianghan is one of the best examples of colonial architecture in Wuhan, where few original buildings from the era remain.
The exterior shows its age, though this is little reflection on the elegantly appointed modern interior. Apart from standard and executive rooms, the Jianghan also boasts luxurious continental suites with impressive interiors.
The hotel restaurant is excellent, providing a wide range of dishes from all over the world, with a reputation for particularly fine Cantonese and Chaoshan (Chiuchow) cuisine. The Cafe Veranda serves good coffee in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
In addition, the hotel also provide business services, a health club with sauna and massage facilities, disco, beauty salon, shops and a post office.
